Effective Leadership Programme for South Lakeland District Council

An 8 day programme for middle managers which ran over a 6 month period covering:

  • Managing working relationships
  • Coaching Skills
  • Managing Meetings
  • Time Management
  • Leadership and Delegation

A number of cohorts have undertaken the programme  and over 20 of them are working with Coventry University to convert their learning into a Diploma in Professional Development (L4/5) awarded by Coventry University

RISE 2 Programme for Riverside

riversideDesigned with Richard Bell the Learning & Development Business Partner, this programme has been jointly delivered with The Oakridge Centre. The programme is aimed at the business talent pool, looking to identify and develop future managers in the areas of interpersonal skills and writing and presenting persuasively.

“The RISE 2 talent pool is an unusual concept as it focuses on working with individuals who are not in leadership positions. As the group had gone through a rigorous assessment process, we knew they had a good soft skill set already. Effective Communications Programme for Eden District Council

edendcA short programme to help staff refocus after ‘transformation’ and open to staff across the Council. It focuses on understanding personal impact on others and how to approach conversations to get a better result.

Over the last 4 years the Council has engaged Florence Madden Associates to deliver learning interventions including a Management Development Programme, Team Development events, Customer Services and Effective Communications training; to facilitate meetings and workshops and also for one to one coaching.
